The Gettysburg Invitational has been run for 33 years now, with 31 of those under the guidance of former assistant and head coach Aubrey Shenk. Coach Shenk’s illustrious career came to an end after 35 years of service to this college and the campus community. In honor of his accomplishments and efforts with the Gettysburg Cross Country Program, the Gettysburg Athletic Department has dedicated the meet in his name, forever making it the Aubrey Shenk Invitational.
