Be part of History! Celebrate 50 years of history with annual event always hosted on the first Saturday of June. On Saturday June 6, 2026, the City will be host to the 50th annual Red Rose Run in Downtown Lancaster. This is an in-person 5 mile race through the City and County Park, bringing over 1,000 runners to Downtown. The 5 mile out and back course is well marked with clocks, and USATF certified as part of the Mid-Atlantic Race Series! The 2026 Red Rose Run of Lancaster also includes a kids fun run. To celebrate our 50th Annual Red Rose Run, we are proud to announce one of our largest prize purses ever! Whether you are an elite athlete chasing the podium or a dedicated age-group runner, there is plenty to run for on June 6th.

Overall:
The following cash prizes will be awarded to both the Top 5 Male and Top 5 Female finishers:
1st: $5,000 | 2nd: $2,500 | 3rd: $1,750 | 4th: $1,000 | 5th: $600

Course Record:
$1977 to course record breakers for Male (23:37.0) and Female (27:17.0) records here

Top Lancaster County Finisher:
$717 Awarded to the Top Male and Top Female finishers residing in Lancaster County (verified by zip code).

Age Group Awards:
Every milestone counts. We are awarding Commemorative Awards to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in the below divisions. Note - Overall Winners are excluded from Age Group awards to allow more runners to take home a trophy.

1–13 | 14–19 | 20–24 | 25–29 | 30–34 | 35–39 | 40–44 | 45–49 | 50–54 | 55–59 | 60–64 | 65–69 | 70–79 | 80–99

Non-Binary Division:
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall.

Best 1970's Dressed:
Best dressed participant in 70's theme will win a Lancaster Prize Pack

All Finishers:
Receive a Commemorative 50th anniversary finisher medal
